Biography
Karyn Boyar is an educator and family nurse practitioner specializing in Neurology and long term care. She is Assistant Clinical Professor at New York University’s Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Dr. Boyar earned her DNP from Pace University in 2014 and has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare. Her background includes work on many Parkinson’s disease research trials. She has created comprehensive outreach initiatives for people with Parkinson’s disease that include community symposia, support groups and educational lectures and materials. She writes and reviews for a number of clinical journals and publications and has presented at regional and national nursing conferences on educational initiatives and caregiver concerns.
