Biography
Dr. Salah Rubayi is the Chair of Surgery and Chief of Pressure Ulcer Management Program at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and International College of Surgeons (FICS) and member of all the spinal injury organizations in the United States and Europe. At the University of Southern California, Dr. Rubayi is a Professor of Clinical Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Division of Plastic Surgery at UCLA. He also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Spinal Cord Medicine. He has published many articles in regards to the plastic reconstructive surgery of pressure ulcers in spinal cord injury patients, including a textbook in reconstructive surgery of pressure ulcers, which was published in 2015 by Springer. His research interests include spinal cord injury and pressure ulcer management & prevention.
